On Saturday 28th June 2025, members of the society attended the South West Astrofair at the Norman Lockyer Observatory, Sidmouth.  Members visited the various displays and trade stands, the planetarium and talks.  The final talk was given by Professor Chris Lintott of 'The Sky at Night' Fame.  All the talks were very interesting and provided insights into what is happening in the differing world of Astronomy.  The commom census of opinion was that we are reaching a new era of Astronomy with the advent of the new Vera C Rubin telescope.  Exciting times!.

We were delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Paul Fellows and his wife, on Wednesday 4th June 2025. Paul gave us a fascinating and exciting insight into the search for other Sun's like our own, within our galaxy.  We hope he will return sometime in the future with another talk for the society.
